The award-winning first ebook, DREAM WEAVER, and BREAKING NORMAL, the final book in the Dream Weaver Novels trilogy, are now also available online in paperback and in ebook on Kindle! 5 Star Book Reviews for Rock Star Christoph Fischer Manipulation of memories and dreams is a really fascinating concept and Williams knows how to make it interesting. Just as sophisticated and clever as the first installment of this YA survival story. Emari is a great character with strength and confidence but also some weakness, her adventure as a rock star is quite convincingly portrayed and the dark paranormal aspects of the story unfold nicely throughout the book. Very clever and very enjoyable. James Moser The writing is just really strong. I love the realistic performance scenes. So the story is cool, the characters you want to root for, the dream sequences are completely riveting, and, most important of all, Williams is just a flat-out good writer--better than most in this genre. Rock Star is the second book in the Dream Weaver series - a young adult paranormal fiction/action adventure that's a bit on the dark side. The Onar Caphar (translated Dream Weaver) are descended from the Nephilim - the offspring of angels and humans. They are almost immortal and have the power to command memories and dreams. This suspense/thriller, written about realistic pseudo-scientific memory and dream manipulation, is set in the Pacific Northwest. A beautiful, atmospheric survival story that is sci fi meets teen fantasy meets dark romance. A YA paranormal love story receiving 5 star reviews from readers of all ages, and a bronze medal award winner in the Readers Favorite International Book Awards. Rock Star is the second book in the Dream Weaver series by the talented Su Williams. While I hadn't read the first book, it was easy enough to grasp the ideas once I read into the first few chapters. The writing style was unique and different, first showing us flashes of dreams and then broadening to showcase whole passages and moments. It was both captivating and something that I haven't really experienced lately. Emari has been living (dreaming?) her life as a rock star, but as always, life does come back to haunt her. She is still reeling from Nick and how he left things, and there is a lot of interesting back and forth between the two. Sabre is one of the titular Dream Weavers and it is his weave that Emari has been living in, and he and Nick are at odds. However, the three need to team up in order to stand up to Thomas and William, who are causing all kinds of trouble. I love the kind of pseudo-scientific supernatural quality that Williams employs regarding the manipulation of memories. There was an Inception-esque quality to the story, but enough unique ideas and cool thoughts that made it really shine on its own. The mind is a mysterious place, and dreams and memories are one of the remaining types of mystery left on Earth. Williams continues to tap into this in her series and does so with aplomb and skill. Emari is a very genial character, and she has the type of clever mind that makes you really respect a character as well as like her. William's writing style is a lot stronger than many in the YA genre so this was quite the pleasure to read. From the AuthorRock Star was glorious fun to research. I was burdened with the grueling task of enjoying various rock shows and interviewing band members from Witchburn and Hell's Belles. The local historical research was a bit of fun too, and added to the dimension of the book. As well, I studied dreaming and brain waves, and the effects of PTSD on survivors of traumatic events to bring realism to the character Emari.

Tears of Adamas: A New Old-Fashion Fairy Tale Short Story

Tears of Adamas: A New Old-Fashion Fairy Tale Short Story

Su Williams

Su Williams

Diamonds are the most celebrated, most coveted gem in history. It was once believed that gemstones were caused by fermentation in the stars. In ancient Greek, the word for diamond is adamas, (pronounced ad-am-us), which means unbreakable or unalterable. Tears of Adamas is the story of a treasure found in the tears of a beautiful girl. In the vein of true old-fashion fairy tales, Tears of Adamas is not without some darkness and slaying. As such, this may not be a story for young children, and was not written as such. Rather, it would be more appropriate for middle grade to adult readers. I was inspired by another author’s story (Ellen Mae Franklin, Tarkeenian series) in which she created a character, a fire sprite, who cries molten silver tears. I’ve included the following excerpt from my Sunshine & Daisies novel. Sunshine & Daisies is a ‘feel good, anecdotal anthology’ meant to inspire memories of happy days gone by.

Poetically written, and when I say poetically I'm not referring to poems. I'm referring to the way that the words grip you. The way this story was woven was pretty f***ing awesome! Emari has lived a tragic life, the loss of her parents took a great toll on her. But from the beginning their was someone in her dreams that was slowly taking away the worst of her dreams. After an attack at work, her life once again is forever changed. The darkness of her life shines through her dreams. In walks the dreamweaver. He is cute and mysterious. Emari is sure she has seen him before...but has she? Of coarse she has. He's only been manipulating her dreams for the last year. Lol Anyway, this was a good dark YA read. Lady Knight ReviewerThis book was a surprise; a good one!!!! I really enjoyed its story and its darkness. It was a first for me, a YA novel which contain such awesome characters. At the end I wanted more, I really want a second book. I highly recommended!!! From the AuthorDream Weaver was born from my imaginations of creating my own 'Edward Cullen' after reading the Twilight Saga. Before he even had a name, Nick would whisper in my ear at work and make me smile. The Onar Caphar (Dream Weavers) evolved over time and I learned what special abilities they would have as I wrote more and more of the story. Emari Sweet came from a doodle of names one night. I knew I wanted my protagonist's last name to be Sweet, but I  didn't want her to have anything sappy, or sugary. Then somehow, Emari Jewel Sweet came out of the mix. Nick's backstory is true. There's a grave marker in the local cemetery that has drawn since I was a teen. So much so that I went to the cemetery office and scoured the old tomes to find out her story. And Nickolas was named from the granite headstone right beside the one I visit on regular basis. I've actually wandered the rows and rows of tombstones to find unique names for other characters. Ivy, Emari's best friend, is a variation of friend of mine...her name is Heather. Jesse was based on a young man who worked with me. He was always upbeat and optimistic, and he always sang 'Run Around Su' when he saw me. Sabre James was a derivation of a guy named Tabor...and James came from Jesse James the notorious bank robber.  And Eddyson....well, it tells you in the book where that came from. The second book in the Dream Weaver Trilogy is entitled Rock Star and is in its editing phase now. I'm still formulating my thoughts on the final book, Private Eye.
